Cordova park, better known as the West Garden of Government House, is seen in this view looking west from near the cathedral. This area has served as a park or garden since it was designated for that purpose in the town plan drafted in 1596. In the background, the Casa Monica Hotel and Ponce de Leon Hotel (now Flagler College) can be clearly seen. The fountain in the park is going to be restored for the city’s 450th celebration in 2015.
