Visit Schooner Freedom on our Interactive Map.
The Schooner Freedom is an authentic 19th century blockade runner. She is a 72’, double masted, gaff-rigged, topsail schooner that was built in Norfolk, Virginia. The Freedom was also the first sailing tour boat that was certified under the Coast Guard sub-chapter ‘T’ to carry passengers to hire. She is frequently inspected by the USCG so she makes for a very safe and fun sailing adventure!
She sails the beautiful seas of the St. Augustine coast and sets off in the afternoon and evening, and also offers the Ghost of the Matanzas cruise in which you interact with the schooner and crew. Each ride is 2 hours long and reservations are recommended. She sets sail from historic downtown Saint Augustine at the City Municipal Marina. Take in the beautiful landscape and sparkling waters of the Atlantic coast on the Schooner Freedom.
Special events and private charters are also offered, just call for more information. Due to the unexpected weather changes that Florida can have, sails can be delayed or sometimes cancelled so be sure book your trip accordingly. With the chance of a lifetime it is no wonder this a popular attraction among visitors. So embark on your own journey along the St. Augustine coast and enjoy the beautiful Schooner Freedom!
