SERIOUS NATURE! SERIOUS FUN! Join the Guides of St. Augustine Eco Tours for a day on the water you’ll never forget!

Choose from boating, sailing, or kayaking excursions to explore the beautiful waters surrounding historic St. Augustine. All tours are led by trained Naturalists keen to interpret the marine ecology of Northeast Florida- whether it be explaining dolphin behavior, identifying rare shorebirds, or providing a knowledgeable perspective on the inter-workings of the salt marsh habitat. Small groups ensure a personal and enjoyable experience for everyone!

The 1.5-hour Dolphin & Nature Boat Tour is your best chance to see the most wildlife! The super stable eighteen-foot Explorer boat is perfect for navigating tidal creeks and estuaries or the near-shore waters in search of dolphins, manatees, birds, and more. Listen to dolphins, snapping, shrimp and even the occasional drum fish communicate with our underwater microphones! Your enthusiastic Captain will use small nets to allow the kids an up-close view of crabs and other floating wonders. Binoculars will help guests to see the details of amazing birds that frequent the shoreline. All ages’ welcome. Capacity: up to six paying passengers per boat.

The 2-hour Kayak Tour is great for those wanting a unique perspective of the salt marsh habitat. Every tour starts with a trained Guide demonstrating proper paddling techniques to ensure guests are comfortable with the equipment prior to getting in the water. Guests will load into tandem (2 person) kayaks on the stable floating dock and then gently slide into the water with the assistance of the Guide. The kayaking tour will provide you the opportunity to capture unique views of the historic Castillo fort, sightings of amazing shorebirds, and possible sightings of dolphins or sea turtles as they frolic in the productive tidal waters of the estuary. First timers and experienced kayakers alike enjoy this adventure! Ages 6+.

The 2-hour Sailing Tour is a hit for those who love sailing or those that have never sailed before. Hop on board the stable, 27 foot Sirenia, named after Florida’s endangered state marine mammal – the manatee. Relax and catch some afternoon rays on the trampoline or watch the Captain work the sails. The tour covers an average of 8+ miles while traversing the Matanzas River or near shore Atlantic waters. Tour route is determined by wind and tidal conditions. Look for wildlife or try your hand at working the sails, the choice is yours on this unique sailing adventure! All ages’ welcome. Capacity: up to six paying passengers

St. Augustine Eco Tours is located at the downtown St. Augustine Municipal Marina, just two blocks south of the Bridge of Lions. Reservations are strongly recommended.
