Vilano Beach is located just north of downtown St. Augustine, Florida. It is situated on St. Augustine’s inlet, giving visitors a perfect view of one of our nation’s oldest ports. This beach has a steep drop off, heavier surf, and strong current due to its location near the inlet. St. Augustine sunsets and sunrises are spectacular from this spot, where you can view downtown just across the Matanzas Inlet. The main beach accesses offer restrooms, paring, showers, and lighting. Driving is permitted on Vilano Beach, however it is only suggested for four-wheel vehicles due to the thick sand along the shore.

Vilano Beach is considered a local beach and is one of St. Augustine’s best-kept secret spot. It is off A1A North, just over the Usina Bridge. Easy to get to and a relaxing departure for a sunny afternoon. Spend the day with friends and family at Vilano Beach. Discover the small fishing community at the North Beach pier over the Matanzas, and the farmers market, which sets up on the weekends. Charter boat rentals, sailboats, kayaks, and other watercrafts can be rented from the pier at North Beach.
